An inspiring story about Bach Flower Remedies: The Morning Dew and the “Eccentric” Doctor

Imagine a man walking through the countryside at the crack of dawn, dressed in loose, airy trousers and a large, flowing blouse. It’s the early 20th century.
What would you think if you saw him?
Many people did. And the word most often used to describe Dr. Edward Bach was eccentric.
Yet it was during these quiet, “eccentric” morning walks that something extraordinary happened.
Dr. Bach understood that the dew resting on flowers, energized by the early sunlight, carried their healing quality. No herbs, no chemicals, just pure water infused with the flower’s energetic pattern.
That simple intuition became the foundation of what we now know as Bach Flower Remedies.
A Morning Realization
After my own morning meditation recently, I noticed the dew gently clinging to the plants in my garden. And in that moment, I thought of Dr. Bach and of one of the most frequent questions I’m asked: “What is actually in Bach Flower Remedies?”
The answer is beautifully simple.
From Dew to Remedy
Dr. Bach discovered that dew did indeed carry the healing quality of flowers. However, collecting enough dew was impractical. So he developed a preparation method that is still used today to create the mother tincture, which is then diluted into the stock bottles of Bach Flower Remedies we buy.
Here’s how it works:
Flowers are picked at full bloom, without being touched by hand, so their energetic frequency remains undisturbed
They are placed on the surface of a transparent glass bowl filled with pure spring water
The bowl is left in sunlight for three hours
During this time, the water becomes energetically infused with the flower’s healing vibration: no physical substances are transferred, only information and frequency.

Why Bach Flower Remedies Are So Safe
This method explains why Bach Flower Remedies are incredibly gentle and suitable for everyone. Each bottle contains only:
Energized water (spring water carrying the flower’s vibration)
A preservative (brandy or vegetable glycerine)
That’s it.
No chemicals. No active physical ingredients. No risk of overdose. No side effects.
This simplicity and safety is not accidental: it was central to Dr. Bach’s vision.

Still Working, Still Touching Lives
Bach Flower Remedies have helped millions of people worldwide, and they continue to do so today.
Even after years of professional practice, I’m still deeply moved when clients write to me about “the shift” they experience:
renewed clarity
peace of mind
calm inner strength
and that beautiful feeling of finally being themselves again.
Dr. Bach described this return to one’s true self wonderfully in his book Free Thyself, which you can download for free HERE.
