A person leans over a large canvas with "Impostor Syndrome?" written on it. Gray shirt and dark pants. Thoughtful mood in a studio setting.

As a creative working in the entertainment industry as a Music Composer for Film and Television, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard the phrase “impostor syndrome.”

If you're reading this, chances are—you have too.

As creatives, we sometimes fall into that psychological pattern where we start doubting our own accomplishments, talents, or skills. We may even carry a persistent, internal fear of being exposed as a "fraud," despite having clear success or external recognition.

The truth is, when working in a competitive and demanding field, self-confidence can falter.

And when it does, it can cost us dearly—sometimes even leading us to let go of golden opportunities that get snatched up by someone else who simply feels more ready or deserving.

If this resonates with you, you're not alone. Impostor syndrome is surprisingly common—especially among high achievers. Have you ever:

  • Felt like you don’t deserve your achievements?

  • Attributed your success to luck rather than skill?

  • Feared being “found out” or exposed as a fraud?

  • Overworked yourself to compensate for perceived inadequacy?

Then it may be time to consider some gentle emotional support—like Bach Flower Remedies, and specifically, Larch.

Why Larch?

In The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, Dr. Edward Bach writes that Larch is for those:

“...who do not consider themselves as good or capable as those around them... and so do not venture.”

Sound familiar?

When we lack self-confidence, we hesitate. We second-guess. We let amazing opportunities pass us by—not because we’re not capable, but because we doubt we are.

That’s where Larch comes in.

Larch helps reconnect us with our true inner worth. It strengthens our self-belief and supports us in taking bold, creative steps forward. Bach Flower Remedies are vibrational in nature—they contain only water, a natural preservative (alcohol or vegetable glycerine), and the energetic imprint of the plant or flower. No active chemicals—just nature’s subtle support.

By working with Larch, you may find yourself more willing to take the leap, say “yes” to that job, submit that project, or share your work with confidence. It gently reminds us of our true potential—so we can show up fully, creatively, and authentically.

My Experience with Larch

In my own journey—and in my work with friends, family, and now clients as a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner (BFRP)—these remedies never cease to amaze me. They are powerful, non-invasive, and carry no side effects. All that’s required is trust and consistency.

Over time, they can be truly transformative—helping to release emotional patterns and burdens you may not even be aware of, allowing you to live more freely and joyfully, and to express your full creative potential.

Curious?
