As one year draws to a close and a new one approaches, we naturally enter a space of reflection. We look back and ask ourselves:

  • Did this year meet our expectations?

  • Did we reach the goals we had set?

  • What challenges did we face?

  • Did we experience personal struggles, stress, or relationship difficulties?

  • And perhaps most importantly, how did this year change us?

This moment of transition invites us to pause. To honor our achievements with gratitude. To accept what didn’t unfold as we had hoped. To renew our self-approval and self-compassion. And to gently release what no longer serves us, so we may begin the new year with clarity, openness, and renewed energy.

Yet, finding acceptance, compassion, and emotional clarity is not always easy. The past year may have left wounds, fatigue, or unresolved feelings. We are not meant to carry everything alone.

I’ve already shared some remedies that can support emotional balance during the holiday season (you can find them in my previous vlog and blog). Here, I would like to guide you specifically through the transition from the old year into the new, helping you soften emotional burdens. This way, you can step into 2026 feeling lighter, more aligned, and more at peace.

How Bach Flower Remedies Can Support This Transition

This is where Bach Flower Remedies become precious allies. They are gentle, safe, and deeply effective tools to support emotional awareness, healing, and renewal. Their purpose is not to suppress emotions but to help us recognize what hurts, tend to it with kindness, and then move forward with greater balance and self-understanding.

If you are reading this, you may already know that Bach Flower Remedies work best when chosen according to your unique emotional state. So I invite you now to pause for a moment. Take a deep breath. And offer yourself a small act of self-love. Ask yourself: How am I really feeling right now?

Emotional States & Remedies to Support You

Feeling Exhausted?

Do you feel deeply exhausted? Perhaps this year demanded more from you than you had to give. Whether through health challenges, work pressure, or family responsibilities, if even simple daily tasks feel overwhelming, this is genuine exhaustion. 🌿 Olive helps restore depleted energy and reminds you that rest is not a luxury; it is a necessity.

Dealing with Resentment?

Do you feel bitter or resentful about what didn’t go right? Are you blaming others, life itself, or feeling treated unfairly? If tears come easily and acceptance feels out of reach, 🌿 Willow gently invites forgiveness and emotional freedom, so you can move forward without carrying resentment.

Struggling with Self-Blame?

Are you blaming yourself instead? Do you carry guilt or feel you could have done better? 🌿 Pine supports self-compassion and helps you release unnecessary guilt, reminding you that you truly did the best you could.

Experiencing Shock or Grief?

Did you experience shock, trauma, or grief this year? If pain still lingers, whether from recent or past events, 🌿 Star of Bethlehem offers comfort and emotional healing, helping you feel held and supported as wounds gently soften.

Navigating Change?

Are you struggling with change or transitions? If stepping into a new year feels unsettling or destabilizing, 🌿 Walnut helps you stay grounded, protected from external influences, and aligned with your own path.

Feeling Discouraged?

Do setbacks leave you discouraged? 🌿 Gentian restores calm optimism and helps you regain trust in the journey.

Losing Hope?

Have you lost hope altogether? If you feel convinced that nothing will improve and are close to giving up, 🌿 Gorse gently reopens the door to hope and the possibility of positive outcomes.

Feeling Numb?

Do you feel numb or disengaged? If life feels dull and you find yourself passively accepting whatever comes, 🌿 Wild Rose rekindles enthusiasm and a desire to fully participate in life again.

Stuck in the Past?

Are you stuck in the past, feeling nostalgia or regret? If something changed this year and you find it hard to move on, 🌿 Honeysuckle brings you lovingly back to the present, opening your heart to new joy and opportunities.

Overwhelmed by Anguish?

Did this year push you to your absolute limit? If anguish feels overwhelming and you can’t see a way out, 🌿 Sweet Chestnut helps restore inner strength, courage, and trust in life.
